Check the line with the telco to see if it is sufficient for 1200
baud? PLEASE, don't bother. They will tell you that you can't
run any kind of data equipment reliably without buying what they
call a `data line', which costs a bunch extra. For service, you
can ask for a line balancing (I think the Password has a switch
for this, also); if you want service on a poor quality line, you
must demonstrate that VOICE quality is poor.
