I have heard various rumors about a 6502 CMOS replacement chip that
has a 16 bit mode of operation, with a 16 bit instruction set different
from the 6502.  When in 6502 mode it acts like a normal 6502.  Does anyone
know about this chip and whether you can plug it into existing 6502
computers (apple II)?  Software??
