The sound has gone on my son's 99/4a.  I was told that an article
appeared somewhere in which the 99/4a hardware was discussed in
some detail, complete with chip layout.  Not too specific, but it's
all I know.  Any pointers to that article, or any other hardware
info which might help me replace the chip (assuming that's the
problem) would be much appreciated.
