When the silliness of a thousand wombats and tailgaters and castrated Dondis did fill the ether like dead flies in a wind tunnel. Yea, but I do, and I say, verily, net.misc doth presently shine like a stagnant pool, and it remindeth one much of Love Canal during the tourist season. Once it flourished as the last abode of the absurd, lacking only the hateful spite that pollutes net.flame, but preserving a mood of suspended insanity. And now? The land abounds with scavenging hacks from net.politics who have nothing better to do than write Time/Life Inc. letters-to-the-editor, and requests for paths to far-away sites. What hath become of the zanies? Will they thunder out of the black hills, riding giant yellow chipmunks and screaming immortal lines like "Satanist marsupials, take note!" and "G'day, Bruce!" and "Yabba-dabba-doo!". Well? Will they? I hope so, because my Imperious English filter is running low on alkaline batteries.... "...in an iron coffin, with spikes on the inside!" Moriarty, aka Jeff Meyer John Fluke Mfg.
