A: no Q: Is it a film for adults, then? A: no! Q: Is it a film for anybody at all? A: no no no!!! Just *who* would this atrocity appeal to, anyway? Is Spielberg trying to aim for the kids with his destruction of a town and many deaths (all sanitized for your protection)? Is he perhaps trying to aim for the adults with his sugary-sweet puppets with big brown eyes and cute voices? Is he desperately trying to hook the teenagers with ten seconds of token romance? "But it had good special effects", I hear you say. So what? I AM SICK AND TIRED OF SPECIAL EFFECTS MOVIES! Give me a plot. Give me interesting characters. Give me anything but the crutch of special effects. -Jack "I hated E.T. too" Applin {hplabs,nwuxd,hp-pcd,csu-cs}!hp-dcd!jack
