I've been listening to the furs for good while and yes, the trend towards
a more accessable sound started with their choice of T. Rundgren as producer
for Forever Now. I think that its more than coincidence that Rundgren 
appears as producer on so many albums where groups decided to 'cross over'
markets. Examples: Patti Smith-Waves album, Tubes-Remote Control  just to name
a few. Its no use crying over commercialized bands but if wishes could
kill....
