Two years ago, this group was created to serve as a way to
pass safety comments, rescue information, and general caving
information about the net.

It has not been used for any of these purposes, partially
because of a lack of interest, and partially because of a
habit of net.rec articles having very long delays
<and thus rendering the more important functions of the group
moot>.


I hereby propose that net.rec.caves be removed, as it serves
no purpose.  

I instigated the formation of the group. It has proven
useless, therefore I propose it's elimination.

Unless I receive convincing arguments otherwise via
MAIL, I shall ask our local netnews guru to delete the group.
I do not read net.news.group.
