Of course, he forgot to mention 'unsubscribing' as a possibility, which most of us do already anyway, but there is a difference between unsubscribing a group which has a purpose I am not interested in, and 'net.general', which has a stated purpose which can no longer be served by this group due to it's lack of readership. It's even unfair to the poor neophyte, who'll only get ignored or flamed at. I've seen statements to the effect that net.general has been replaced by net.announce, (and flamed at for 'acting ignorant of that fact') SO, what gives ? And a word of warning to you net-powers. Not doing anything can be a lot more irresponsible than doing something, which turns out to be less than perfect.
