The voting went as follows: San Diego 147 Phoenix (write-in) 100 Vandenberg AFB 3 Hawaii 1 Nome (Alaska) of the above 5? No Preference 9? None of the above 7? This is from memory, folks; those last numbers are only approximate. The Guest of Honor will be Dr. David Brin, author of the much-discussed \Startide Rising/. The Toastmaster will be Greg Bear, author of "Hard Fought" and "Blood Music" which won this year's Nebulae for novella and novelette. Fan Guest of Honor will be Karen Turner.
