   The buttons in the Turboshaft are letters and numbers going
   from A to J and 1 to 10. When Kirk enters the Turboshaft he
   presses C-8. (Now that I'm sure of).

   Also I believe it was mentioned in one novel (Corona,I think)
   that the Turboshaft is equipped with both the buttons and with
   a universal translator, so that should handle just about
   anyone who 

   And on to another subject--I read somewhere, some time ago that
   NCC stands for Navel Construction Contract!!??
   	But I think Navel eXperiment is what NX stands for.
		(I can't imagine anything else)
