Reports that I had from a friend who saw Baker at the Who conference in Chicago last year, claimed that he was more than reclusive, he was arrogant and an egotist. Now, whether or not this was an act to his audience is open for debate...but it is true that he does not wish to "share the spotlight" with the other Doctors. (i.e. his refusal to appear on the same panel with the other three living Doctor's at the conference...he told the conference commitee that either he gets his own seperate "on stage" discussion with the audience, or he's not coming. (Those words were obtained by a person on the planning committee for the Who-a-thon.) That combined with his "video taped" appearance on "The Five Doctors" sorta makes one wonder.... ...everything goes to everybody's head sometime....
