I am still under the impression that control-S was used in EMACS before
XON/XOFF became popular for the use of the user stopping computer printout,
(as opposed to the computer controlling terminal devices) thus it makes
little sense to say that using control-s in EMACS was a bad design decision
based on the pseudo standard of XON/XOFF.  Does anyone know better?  RMS?
