Granted many features of UNIX derived from MULTICS,
one thing most likely did not.
That is its structural conciseness.
This conciseness contributes to the large number of degrees
of freedom in terms of UNIX's flexibility.

If one would draw the analogy of PL/1 to MULTICS as
C is to UNIX, I would choose C/UNIX anytime.
