          I don't know about the rest of the world, but my personal
computer version of Unix -- VENIX/11 -- has something called 'bas' in
it, an a abbreviation which must stand for "BASIC absolutely sterile".
What I would like is to come into possession of a real BASIC which will
run on my system.  (Spare me the flames and stick to the information
mode.)  I would even be willing to pay in coin of the realm to get such
a thing.
          Please send leads direct to me; I can always summarize to the
greater world if anything of great merit drifts by.
