I just got back from NCC - Perkin-Elmer is making lots of noise about being
the first commercial implementation of SVR2. Whether that is true or not
is probably irrelevant - they are big, they have said it, so it is so.
Anyway, PE has SVR2, and certainly others will follow within just a few
months.

By the way, PE was giving away a car at the show, and seems to think I would
be a good throw-in as well. The car is a Pontiac Fiero; here is an excerpt
from the list of options:

o Formula Steer Wheel

Just to set your minds at ease, if you happen to win this car, you will
NOT be stuck with me - they meant those things that go on the floor that
