Message-ID: <195@itm.UUCP> Date: Mon, 16-Jul-84 09:45:31 EDT Article-I.D.: itm.195 Posted: Mon Jul 16 09:45:31 1984 Date-Received: Fri, 20-Jul-84 02:03:13 EDT Organization: In Touch - Atlanta, GA Lines: 15 X Perkin-Elmer has definitely *not* released SysV.2, no matter what they say at NCC. The latest guess I heard was they were going to release it in October, maybe. We are a P-E site, and I find it amusing to hear such claims from their marketing people. I have my doubts about that, since in the 18 months we've been using P-E Unix (TM), we've yet to get a working "awk". Their latest version of awk can't add two floating- point numbers. And don't ask if sh -c works, either. They have SVR2 now . . . right. -- Brent Laminack (akgua!itm!brent)
