I wish to print both regular files and nroff/tbl files. The regular files need their ^J turned into ^M^J. This I can do by turning on the fs#020 capability in /etc/printcap. But then the graphics commands that nroff uses (I use nroff -Txerox, by the way) don't work. If I clear the CRMOD bit, then nroff stuff comes out ok but regular files don't. Am I supposed to use the "tf" capability with lpr -t or something? Is there a standard filter for this or do I have to write something which clears the CRMOD bit on standard output and puts it back when done? thanks, -- Just another valley guy Phil Ngai (408) 982-6554 UUCPnet: {ucbvax,decwrl,ihnp4,allegra,intelca}!amd!phil ARPAnet: amd!phil@decwrl.ARPA
