It is supposed to be available starting in October this year for VAX/VMS, IBM/VM, IBM/MVS, and UNIX environments. They call the initial release the BASIC version (level 0b implementation). They charge $8,000 for this version on a VAX, but they probably offer a significant discount for a university. (Their discount for DI-3000, their SIGGRAPH CORE standard system, is 70% for universities).
