San Diego, Computer Center Lines: 15 Ted Sturgeon was one of my very first "favourite" SF writers. The other one was Harlan Ellison. (That says a lot right there, doesn't it?) Ted is one of the sweetest, kindest people I've ever met and his writing is superb. I have only quoted his quote a few times and I'm afraid I made it worse, substituting "sh@t" for "crap". I believe I was referring to a) American cars, b) Harlequin romances and c) Calculus. But I was kidding. Mostly. And I think Ted meant it lightly, being a kindly sort.
