No, no, don't hit her!  My wife wouldn't use them either.  She said
she'd rather be smashed instantly than roasted slowly in a car fire.
I kept using the belt myself, and let her have her way.  Eventually
she switched over to using it.  Just set the example, don't waste
your breath.
