(door bell rings)

"Good morning ma'm.  I'm officer Perdy and I am on the pot watch
committee.  Your house has been chosen for search today for
illegal drugs.  Please step aside.  Nice nightgown you're wearing."

(Officer perdy steps inside)

"You can't come in here!  I have my rights!"

(Officer perdy starts looking through the bedroom drawers)

"So do the rest of the people in this world ma'm.  Drugs are illegal,
they are unhealthy, they cause people to steal others property just
to support their habits.  It is bad stuff Miss ... er, ah.

(lady takes offended stance)

"None of your business!"

(officer finds purse and starts going though it finding id in the wallet)

"Here we go.  Like I said, Miss Goodbody, drugs are bad stuff."

"You can't look in my wallet," she says grabing the wallet from him.

"I was just checking to see that your license was up to date.  That is
a crime you know, having a out of date drivers license.  You know you
look young for 35.  This is a nice picture too."

(He goes to the closet)

"Men's shirts, MISS Goodbody?  You know I'm a good christian man and
I'm not sure I like what I see."

"There is nothing illegal about having a lover!"

"No Miss Goodbody, not yet.  Not yet."

I do not drink and I hate drunks.   I am all for hard punshment and
rehabilitation for drunk drivers.  I am for stopping cars that appear
to be driven by drunk drivers.  I will NOT, however, give the government
this finger hold on one of our basic freedoms.
