My main reason for changing my gearing is that I have decided that I want some lower gears than I have now, also since I seldom use my 100 inch gear I have decided that I should rework the entire setup. Here is what I presently have: freewheels -> 14 16 20 24 28 32 chainwheels 40 77 68 54 45 39 34 52 100 88 70 59 50 44 This is what I am considering changing it to, I would like to know what people think of this setup (I know, I'm asking for trouble). freewheels -> 14 16 20 24 28 32 chainwheels 32 62 54 43 36 31 27 40 77 68 54 45 39 34 48 93 81 65 54 46 41 I am keeping the 40 tooth chainwheel not with the interest in saving money, but because I get a large amount of use of the gears that it provides. Thanks to all, please send mail, I will post a summary to the net when the responses die down.
