Have you stopped to consider that maybe these "bozos" are people who are like
you (get netnews access only during the summer)?  During the rest of the year,
we get quite intelligent [sic], rational [sic] and original [sic] discussions
on net.flame :-).  It's during the summer months that we get such rampant
trash!! 

It's possible that as a class, summer-only Usenetters have a disproportionate
number of "bozos". 

PS:  We have the same problems in September when the schools start and the
neophytes "find" netnews.  It's something we learn to live with.
