When I finally get a house (of my own), I've considered just not having
ashtrays at all (well, maybe one hidden away real good in case I
want to burn some incense...).  I've been debating on what to do when
someone asks for one, however.  I was thinking of telling them just
to drop the ashes on the floor to see how they react (hopefully it will
make them real self-conscious and uncomfortable...)  Has anyone out
there ever tried anything like this?
