What makes you think that they do?  Ever been to Northern Ireland?
Israel?  Labanon?  Germany?  Italy?

Maybe the reason there are fewer terrorists here, and more "random"
murders, is that there are more people here, and more individual freedoms.

Not that I'm granting you the point, understand, but the USA has a much
different culture than any other in the world.  Part of that culture is
a historic recognition of the right to bear arms.  This was intended for
two purposes;  Hunting, and the establishment of "equality".  See, the
symbolism of the right to bear weapons comes right out of the dark ages.
Knights (lords, the Peers, etc) were allowed to own and use weapons.
The commoners (Serfs, peasants, slaves, etc) were NOT allowed to own
weapons, and they would be killed if they were caught with them.

So, if you want to identify yourself as a slave, then give up your right
to be a free person, and if you want to identify yourself as free, then
be prepared to defend yourself from the enslavers.
