OK, I admit it, I need help with the damned cable.  I know which one needs
to be fixed; I have the blue/16in cable as well as the squashed backup cable;
the cutter don't cut, and the glider don't fix things (advice from whiz to the
contrary).  I have found no way to open, smash, or dislodge fred.

Help!
