             To Vincent Isip , a comment on a previously posted question :


             A ring of (or scroll of) protection will add(cursed) or
             subtract(normal) to or from your armor class. Say your
             armor class is 0. Then, you find a +2 scroll of protection,
             and upon reading it, you will have an armor class of -2.
             Remember, the lower your armor class (even in the negatives),
             the better is it.
