I foolishly started a "fight-to-the-near-death" with an aquator while wielding
just a bow (dumb - I know), but the bow was too weak to do any damage, so
I kept getting hungrier and hungrier and was on my way to starvation.
Is there anyway I could have stopped the fight?  I also tried to let myself
die of starvation for the humor such a posting would cause with all the gold
I had but it didn't seem to want to let this happen, so I finally had to
quit (my friends were anxious to go to the bars).  An ignominious end if
there ever was one.  Any ideas of how I could have escaped?
