A while ago I posted an artical asking why an orc was jumping back and forth
in a room without attacking me.  The concensus was that there was gold under
an adjacent bat.  I ran into another similar situation shown below:

As I stood in the doorway and rested, the centaur would move one space
diagonally every 2-5 moves I made, even as I entered the room.  He didn't
come after me until I moved onto the gold, whereupon the hobgoblin came
after me, and the centaur joined into the fight.  There was a potion
under the hobgoblin, so apparently the centaur was bent on obtaining it.
Oh well, just thought you might be interested.
