I haven't seen a correct article about this yet.  Elvis' first national hit
was "Heartbreak Hotel" in 1956, not "Love Me Tender" or "Jailhous Rock".  He
was already an established superstar by the time he put out those last two
songs.  Yes, he did have a few regional hits before this.  The most well known
of these being "It's All Right".
