"Let It Be" was indeed recorded before "Abbey Road", but because of various problems, the tapes were allowed to languish. For "Abbey Road", the Beatles went back to their old producer, George Martin, and gave him enough control to get an album out in a timely fashion. Only after "Abbey Road" was out did "Let It Be" get mixed down and released. I believe "Hey Jude" was also released after "Abbey Road". Another trivia question: Who did the final mixing and production of "Let It Be"? -- _Doctor_ Jon Mauney, mcnc!ncsu!mauney \__Mu__/ North Carolina State University
