They discovered that you can cut the stem into about 8-inch lengths and bury each one in a pot, vertically, and after a month or two, get a new plant. They usually buried them in a vertical position, I think with an inch or so above the soil. They also had success with rooting the top of the plant, by burying the cut stem pretty deeply in a large pot. Most of their friends and neighbors ended up with baby deefies as a result.
