I apologize if this is not the appropriate news group for this.

I recently purchased a wooded lot.On the perimeter of the lot in
one of the larger trees lives one or more ground squirrels.

The lot is going to be cleared for building next month and I would 
prefer not to disturb the ground squirrels.

How can I best do this ?
If they are disturbed during the site clearing ,what is the likelihood
of them returning when things quiet down(clearing & excavation should
take about 2 days)

The trees & shrubs within a 10' radius of their den will not be cleared.
