Douglas Hardie" The gist of the comments on simplex patches indicates that repeaters are ok because of control links. However, I suspect that many of the "control links" are not used on many repeaters during significant portions of the day. Try raising the "control operator" on many repeaters at odd hours. Frequently I\am unable to do so - I suspect the only thing you can do that would cause a repeater to shut you off is to time it out. WA6VVV
