VMS has no such "tr" command, so I have been forced to write my own rotate program as I'm sure many others also have done. ****** just the fact he hates unix, yet he's *forced* to write his own program (due to vms's apparent lack of tools) is joke enough. come on, lemaire, i'm sure you could have used VMS COBOL, couldn't you? i guess you wanted to use the more modern 'software engineering' type language, BASIC. i know, i know, i'm not supposed to sit here and flame some person who loves VMS. so here's my one liner: bliss is ignorance ron (replies to ihdev!rjv) if you didn't catch the jokes, then you probably know nothing about VMS. feel lucky!
