After a while, they had become fast friends (no "Remember the Alamo" here), and the Mexican invited the Texan to eat supper with him and his wife. The Texan accepted, and that evening, sat down to some of the best stew he had ever eaten. "Boy, that stew is good!" exclaimed the Texan, "What kind is it?" Said the Mexican, "Rabbeet Stew". "But there are no rabbits around here!". "Si, senor, the rabbeets make the beeg noise, and I shoot theem." "Rabbits don't make any noise..." "Si, senor, they say meeyow, meeyow!". -- Daniel S.
