The big stadium is filled up to capacity, the crowds are excited. President Reagan is going to deliver the opening speech. As he enters the stadium and reaches the podium, followed by his aides, cheers come from the crowd. He stands in front of the microphones, puts a copy of his speech on the desk, looks up, smiles, clears his throat and says: "People of the United States!" Big applause. "People of the whole world!" Even bigger applause. He glances quickly at his papers, and then says: "Oooh, ooh, oh!" and pauses. No applause. People look at each other, wondering. "Oh! Oh!" At this point, one of his aides, very worried, taps him on the shoulder and says: "Mister President! That's the symbol of the Olympic Games!" Luigi
