If anyone needs a public-domain (no "copyright Regents of the University
of California") implementation of the directory access routines, I can
send a copy by electronic mail.  I gave a copy of these to one of the
Western Electric development types a year ago but I am not sure that he
understood why they belong in every C library.

I also revised all the UNIX System V utilities to use the directory
access routines; it wasn't too hard...
