The author of this request didn't mention which version of Un*x and mail
is in use, however:

We run 4.2BSD and have the same situation.  The sendmail.cf for system
"vaxB" is the one for UUCP sites that comes in the can from Berkeley.  The
sendmail.cf for the UUCP+CSNET system "vaxA" needed some work.  I changed
it by (1) removing some Berkeley-specific stuff and (2) making it resolve
UUCP addresses (alas, no pathalias yet), CSNET (~Internet) addresses, and
SOME mixed addresses.  The latter resolves the much-discussed ambiguity of

	a!b@c

by interpreting it as (a!b)@c.  Like all sendmail.cf files (:-)), there are
sure to be some bugs in it, but it does handle local mail and the type
of mixed address mentioned in the request.  I will send a copy to anyone
who asks (by mail), as long as they agree to advise me of any egregious bugs.
