We'd like to run 'S', if possible. Is this possible ? Is anyone doing it ? Have you had problems ? Did it take long to port the software ? Did it take long to fix the licenses & make the lawyers happy ? If you've had problems, were they with S, or S & 4.2 ? Could you fix them ? with or without major trauma ? Was S been worth it ? ( n.b. we run SAS & SPSS-X on IBM mainframe, various DEC packages on VAX-VMS. comparisions, contrasts, etc. would be welcome.) As usual, will summarize if enough interest. Hope this isn't a repeat of recent activity - if so please send summary. atdhvaannkcse p.s. Sorry about multiple newsgroups - checked Adam's list, but wasn't clear if usoft.s was active, defunct, or whatever. -- Denis McKeon, UNM Computing Center, Albuquerque, NM 87131, 505-277-8148 ~{pur-ee!purdue,ucbvax!lbl-csam,philabs!cmcl2}!lanl-a!unm-cvax!mckeon ~{convex,ucbvax,gatech,csu-cs,anl-mcs}!unmvax{,!unm-cvax}!mckeon
