Iyt is the most active ingredient in Catha Edulis, a stimulant plant from africa and the middle east. The drug is not subject to any Narcotic controls in the U.S., though I cannot find any source for it, either. Since it is illegal, should there not be a method of obtaining it in the U.S.? For those who have not heard of it, it is a plant chewed daily by millions of people, in much the same way as Coca is in south america. The drug is similar in effect to the Amphetamines, though it is not known to be abused as often, and it's side effects are not quite as nasty. I feel that it has potential for use as a treatment for Narcolepsy... and other conditions for which the amphetamines are now used. Anyone who can shed some light on this: it will be much appreciated. Thanks!! Donald Hipkiss !dual!proper!hipkiss
