Paul,

I can recommend a couple of books:  "The Anatomy of the 1541", and "The
Anatomy of the Commodore 64", both by Abacus Software (Grand Rapids, MI?).
Both of these books are excellent and contain complete and commented
dissassemblies of their respective operating systems.  Good luck.
