I am in fact working on software to do precisely this (i.e. provide a
Macpaint-like capability for the PC.  It's progressing nicely, and I'm
currently looking for a fast area-fill routine.  Ideally it should be
written in C, support tiling (8 x 8) and run in the 640 x 200 mode of
the stanard IBM graphics card.  Any pointers to this would be much
appreciated.
