While, I too felt that the ending was a little bare. However, I think the reason for that was that it showed that even though Paulie had his thumb cut off, he didnt learn his leason and got himself into trouble. I thought Eric Roberts should have at least been nominated for an Oscar for Star-80. And I think his performance in Pope was much better with more dimensions. The scene after his thumb is cut and he goes to his cousin's apartment in VERY GOOD!! Eric's acting in that scene alone should be enough for an Oscar nomination. My rating : 3 1/2 stars out of 4. (Ghostbusters 3 1/2 , STIII 1 1/2, INDIANA JONES 2)
