Dana Andrews played the detective.
Vincent Price played the friend of the shot woman.
The score, "Laura," was by David Raskin and is available
as a reissue. "Laura's Theme" is from Dr. Zhivago.

"Laura" was remade for television in 1955 with
George Sanders, Dana Wynter, and Robert Stack.
