Lines: 10 Baba O'Riley is named for Townshend's teacher, Meher Baba, and for Terry Riley, whose musical style the song emulates (note the background droning sequencer riff). In the album "The Kids Are Alright", the main guitar riff in the song is credited as "owing its pedigree to Sweet Jane". (F-----C-Bb-------...) The violin solo on the song was produced by Keith Moon, but in live performance it was replaced by Roger Daltrey on harmonica. -- AT THE TONE PLEASE LEAVE YOUR NAME AND NET ADDRESS. THANK YOU.
