One point that could easily be overlooked here is the physical location of
most (or is it all ?) of the people who have voted for this group. They are
overwhelmingly employees of BTL or AT&T.

My point is that if this is and continues to be the case, create a LOCAL
AT&T or BTL news group for ti99 users. The TI99 is (I think) now out of
production, and due to the current proliferation of groups, I think we
should be careful about introducing a group that may have a limited
readership into WORLD distribution.

Another option is to create a na.ti99 group ... the ti99 never was very
popular over here (I shall now sit back and wait for the flames on that
remark!)
