I know there are many manufacturers making RL02 look alikes, but I don't want to have to change/replace/remove the DEC controller plugged into my UNIBUS. I want the DEC controller to talk to both the winchester and a RL02 drive. Installing a winchester in this manner would provide the following benefits: 1. DEC service people can still use their RL02 diagnostic pack. 2. I can still use the RL02 for removable storage. 3. I don't eat up any more UNIBUS slots. 4. I don't have to change or add device driver software. To any DEC representatives on the net: If the reason these are not available is because the bus is proprietary, why don't you folks market one of these? - Words in upper case are trademarks of Digital Equipment Corp.
