The reservations about special paper apply to all true ink-jet printers; the technique requires a short-fiber paper with high surface absorbancy. BTW, the Olivetti "jet printer" is NOT a true ink-jet-- it transfers dry carbon from a stylus via some kind of controlled arching (spark-jet printing??). One caveat: the "Thinkjet" will not be available with an RS-232 serial interface until later in the year, maybe even next year. This is direct from a HP salesperson. Chip
