I.

Somewhere in the shadow he waits,
Hoping for that impossible time.
Revelation torments more often than it redeems,
Thus he believes that just one savior will suffice,
But he is afraid that he will never know.

II.

Staples hold his mask in place,
Hoping to prevent that inevitable slippage,
As he holds his false face high with false pride.
